Slapfish, Laguna Beach

It's lunch time and I am starving, good thing these photos of food from Slapfish can hold me over until I can grab food. I've heard the name Slapfish a few times, and was under the impression that it was a sushi restaurant, but when stopping by their Laguna location, I was pleasantly surprised at the innovative seafood menu. Although the location has just enough room to walk in, order, and grab utensils; there's an open outside seating area.
After a day at the beach, my friend Trang and I stopped by and we ordered Chowder fries to share and one Ultimate Fish Taco each. I thought we weren't going to be full by sharing the fries and having just one taco, but boy was I wrong. The Chowder fries are on another level, I was thinking the chowder might cause the fries to be soggy, but it was more like a gravy and topped with tons (and I mean tons) of bacon bits which offset but complemented the creaminess of the chowder. The ultimate fish taco is definitely ultimate, in both taste, freshness, and size. I was not expecting to receive such a big piece of fish; the size of the fish within the tortilla made it look daunting to eat, but I simply cut down the middle, added some hot sauce and folded up the taco. Check out more on Slapfish here as well as their locations here.

KIN Los Angeles, West Hollywood

KIN Los Angeles in West Hollywood has completely re-vamped their storefront and brand, and Andrew and I got to check it out last week during a preview. The men's and women's wear boutique established in 2004 is known for carrying the latest designers from around the world such as Phillip Lim, Helmut Lang, Barbara Bui, Opening Ceremony, Thakoon and Carven. During the preview, guests enjoyed champagne, a photo booth, a trunk show by Wonderland eyewear, and the rad KIN LA space. The store is visually appealing to shop and you could get lost in there for hours. Check out these summer 2015 pieces featuring asymmetrical cuts and red statement pieces offered online and in-store at KIN:

Mettalic Shoulder Pullover

It was an overcast beach day, so I grabbed my Triple Thread OC pullover and wore it over my bikini, styled along with Levis' slouchy cut off shorts. The sunglasses and flats were featured in this summer, backyard BBQ post here. The pullover is very comfy and soft, but also can be worn casually or dressed up because of the metallic details. Shop more on Triple Thread OC. Photos taken by Trang Bui.

Spring Floral Wedding Attire

While planning what to wear for a Spring wedding in La Jolla, I stumbled across this gorgeous pink, floral printed maxi dress from Little Mistress. Although a floor length dress can look formal; the flowy, bright floral printed fabric, and minimal bead embellishments made this dress appropriate for a day time wedding and easily transitioned into an evening reception look. I kept the dress on the semi-formal side with a leather clutch and simple waves and natural (but big lashes) make up. Although the straps of the dress were supposed to cross over my shoulders, I let one strap on each side fall to the sides of my arms. Style Tip: Floral print knee-length a-line or tulip shaped dresses or maxi-length, in a soft fabric can easily be worn to a day time spring/summer wedding. If you want to glitz up your dress, wear a statement necklace or other bold jewelry, but make sure it doesn't clash with the print. For shoes, wear nude or a color from the floral print of your dress. Get the dress I wore in this post below:
